- The complement of the superlative is introduced by "de, de la, de l', du, des". Example: The most beautiful city de France.

Exceptions!
- When the superlative accompanies the adjective "bon" it is replaced by "le meilleur". It agrees with the subject. Example: These are the best holidays of my life.
- One can also use the word "pire" to emphasise a negative aspect.
